Walking a Conscious Spiritual Path
It is clear to most that we are living through times of profound change. From our perspective, this change is driven intentionally by a changing energetic environment and is not haphazard or random at all. The changes are not to happen in the world out there only, but inside of each one of us as well. We feel this is a time of deepening, alignment and healing of and from our past lived experiences and of those that came before us. The distortions we carry from generations of deep separation consciousness are not our fault; it is however our choice and privilege to be living in these times where we are supported to transform our lives, identities and beliefs in ways that we simply were not able to before.
These changes and the upwelling of unconscious material can be experienced as negative and heavy for most of us at times, especially if they arise absent of context. Based on our collective past and the narratives we have created from these, it would be easy to pathologise ourselves and current world events in all sorts of ways that may at times miss the deeper invitation that is occurring, leading to anxiety, despondency and many more symptoms of negative states of being.
This is why we feel it is important that we each take time to receive support and to create new habits and practices in our lives, informed from new perspectives gained in order to allow the changes to continue in more resourced, receptive ways of being. Plant medicine work is merely one of many different paths available that can aid us in this endeavour.
We are here to provide this support in the way that has become our path, through our choice and through grace.
In this way we can allow this cleansing process to continue and with time, complete. As we deepen our presence, we can start embracing a potential for new perspectives and possibilities to arise from our lives.
Consciously living a life of choice, intentionally, is an orientation and recognition of the deeper invitation unfolding from within us and from creation itself.
Walking a Conscious Spiritual Path
A spiritual path is often imagined as something elevated — a movement toward higher states, deeper insight, or expanded awareness.
While these experiences can and do occur, the path itself is often much more simple, and at times, more ordinary, and the experiences more messy and less linear.
It is found in how we live.
Spirituality for us is not a set of beliefs, a way to dress or behave, but rather an orientation of curiosity and wonder at life and our consciousness. Willingness to stay with the experience even through discomfort is then of service to deeper personal truth emerging.
Beyond Peak Experiences
Moments of clarity, connection, or expansion can be powerful.
They can open new perspectives and reveal aspects of life that were previously unseen. However, these moments come alive if we continue our path further and do not stop there.
The path begins in how we relate to what has been seen.
It is expressed in small, consistent ways:
how we speak
how we listen
how we respond to difficulty
how we take responsibility for our lives
the perspective from which we choose to view our life
Without this grounding, even meaningful experiences can remain separate from daily life.
Discernment
As one begins to explore spirituality or healing work, there can be many influences, teachings, and directions. At first, most of us take from many different sources of authority and follow it all eagerly.
With time and maturation, inner discernment becomes important.
This is about sensing what is aligned, what is true, and what is appropriate at a given moment, for us, personally. This is what is meant by empowerment, is to use our inner authority to distinguish what is resonant for us at any given moment. Aligning this way, we intentionally move away from the need to judge and seperate.
Discernment develops over time through:
self-honesty
reflection
experience
inner presence
It is a quiet form of intelligence that helps guide the path.
Spiritual Bypassing
We bring up bypassing again. One of the common challenges on a spiritual path is the tendency to move away from difficulty rather than toward it. In a way, everyone bypasses at times, as a protection. We can become aware of these ways we dissociate from life and start holding our entire process with greater compassion and intentionality. It is our choice what we choose, and how we show up oriented towards what we choose. Can we be intentional about this choice and orientation, remaining honest and present with what is? In this way, it is then not about bypassing vs not bypassing, but a greater awareness.
Looking at bypassing and protection, it can take subtle forms, such as:
focusing only on positive states
avoiding uncomfortable emotions
using spiritual ideas to bypass real-life challenges
waiting for someone to show up who can remove or take care of our issues
While it may feel supportive in the short term, it can create distance from the deeper work.
A conscious path includes a willingness to meet all aspects of oneself, not only those that feel light or expansive.
Relationship with Life
Spirituality, for us is all of life, not just a few aspects of it.
It is expressed in relationship:
with oneself
with others
with the natural world
with the unknown
Plant medicine and ceremonial work can deepen these relationships, but they are not a replacement for living them.
The path continues in how we live, day to day. And all of it is always rooted in our ability to choose with greater consciousness as we continue.
Patience and Simplicity
There is often a desire for progress — to move forward, to reach a certain state, or to arrive somewhere.
In practice, the path tends to unfold more slowly.
It asks for patience, and a willingness to remain with what is present rather than constantly seeking something else.
Over time, this can bring a different kind of depth — one that is not dependent on intensity or outcome, but on consistency and presence.
Closing
A conscious spiritual path is not something to achieve.
It is something that unfolds through attention, honesty, and relationship with life as it is.
Each step is already part of it.
