Huachuma (San Pedro) is a sacred plant medicine that has been used since ancient times in the Andes. We work with this medicine in ceremony for its profound ability to open awareness—gently yet deeply—into connection with oneself, the natural world, and the unseen dimensions of life.
Each ceremony is entered with reverence for the sacredness of each person’s path. It is an invitation to heal, expand, and perceive life from a more aligned and integrated place. Through this process, we cultivate receptivity to the intelligence that exists within, within the Earth, and within the greater field of consciousness.
While often perceived as gentle, Huachuma is deeply powerful. It meets each person precisely where they are, inviting presence and trust in what is unfolding. At Sanctuary, each ceremony is a co-creation between the medicine, the land, and the wider field of Spirit.
Our medicine is prepared with care using sustainably harvested cactus from the Sacred Valley, with ongoing replanting as part of our commitment to reciprocity and stewardship.
San Pedro Ceremonies
Ceremony with Huachuma opens a space for deep communion with what is ready to emerge from within.
Ceremonies begin with invocation and unfold within a carefully held and intentionally co-created container. There is spaciousness for each individual process, alongside grounded guidance and support where needed—both energetically and through dialogue.
While ceremonies may begin collectively, each person’s experience is unique. The land itself offers multiple environments and resources, allowing you to follow what feels most aligned throughout your process.
As the day completes, we gather around the fire, sharing simple food and social connection for those who feel called. Please see the Resources Blog section for logistical aspects of ceremony.
San Pedro Retreats
Retreats are our primary offering for those seeking meaningful and lasting transformation.
A retreat provides what is increasingly rare: uninterrupted time and space dedicated entirely to yourself. It is within this space that deeper processes are able to unfold naturally and sustainably.
Each retreat is individually tailored. A typical structure includes a week-long immersion with three ceremonies, supported by integration and personalised guidance throughout.
Accommodation is private and comfortable, with the option of catered meals or access to fresh, organic produce for self-preparation.
Your process is held and supported by Bernhard in a way that honours your intention, autonomy, and natural unfolding.
San Pedro Dieta
Dieta with San Pedro is a two to three week deep immersion and is an incredible journey to approach, experience and complete. Dietas are only available to people who have already worked with Bernhard. Please enquire for upcoming dates if you feel ready to commit to a deeper level of work.
Work with Bernhard
Bernhard is available for work before or after your retreat or ceremony at Sanctuary, or independent of work done here. Bernhard provides preparation or integration support, as well as mentoring for people interested in bringing more conscious intentionality and orientation into their lives in a sustainable and accountable way. These mentoring sessions do not follow any fixed structure or method, and are approached from a place of sacred curiosity focusing on what wants to unfold. In this way, it is a co-creation and can be approached as that for each session. These sessions are $111 per hour.
Bernhard also creates readings generated from three perspectives, natal astrology, evolutionary astrology and Human Design, brought together as a soul invitation for growth and healing awareness. These readings are $50 per report.
Work with Liza-Marie
Liza-Marie provides Akashic Record readings, intuitive readings and check-ins with your guides. Her work is best used to support active processes and she can be contacted for sessions while here, or outside and independent of work done at Sanctuary. Her services are $111 per session.
