Meet the Family
Sanctuary started as a seed back in 2018 when Bernhard and Liza-Marie walked this land for the first time. There was an immediate recognition of an invitation to start a new cycle on this land. This only became a reality in 2024 as we bought this land that was to become our home.
The vision was held and felt as a vibrational invitation by Bernhard, and the physical structures came to be over time to support this vibrational sense of possibility. This is a special place for us, as it feels very aligned with this next iteration of our service and our life.
We also experienced a drawing together of a community of like-minded and resonant individuals who have become part of our larger Sanctuary family, and participate with us in co-created offerings as well as their own individual offerings on this land. These two people, Iris, Stephanie and their families have very much become a larger support network not only to us and people passing through but also energetic support and custodianship of the land itself.
Stephanie
Stephanie offers retreats, ceremonies and shamanic healings sessions. She also provides us with Temazcal here at Sanctuary, which is always a special event.
Stephanie is a lifelong healer whose path bridges Western emergency medicine and shamanic energy work. After nearly a decade in clinical settings, her journey deepened through a profound calling to shamanism, leading her to train in the Andes with the Q’ero and earn certification as a Shamanic Energy Practitioner. Her work is devoted to guiding others into alignment with their highest destiny—gently supporting the release of trauma, illness, and limiting patterns. Rooted in connection, presence, and reverence for ancient wisdom, Stephanie holds space for transformation, inviting each person to awaken to their luminous nature and walk in beauty, harmony, and purpose.

Iris
Iris provides retreats, ceremonies, Hakomi, massage and a special connection to the mountains and land.
As a humble student of the Andean Wisdom path and in lifelong relationship with the Plant Teacher Huachuma, Iris holds ceremonial spaces that are safe, grounded, and deeply welcoming. Her work with the Medicine is rooted in reverence, integrity, and sacred reciprocity.
Each ceremony is a co-creation with the land, the Ancestors, and Spirit—an invitation into stillness, heart-centered presence, and renewed connection with nature. Through this shared field, participants are gently guided toward deeper attunement to themselves and to life.
Weaving earth wisdom with diverse energetic modalities and psycho-somatic inquiry, Iris supports others in reconnecting with their inner truth, cultivating greater clarity and alignment, and restoring balance across all levels of being.
