“In February 2026, I traveled from the U.S. to work with Bernhard for ten days, four of them ceremony days. I will begin this comment with the things of this world. The location could not have been better suited for this deep work. His land is surrounded by sacred mountains. It has a glacier-fed stream running through it, and forests with ancient trees. I went in February, during the rainy season and it was a perfect time to go. All was green, and fewer tourists. It was cool at night, and rain was always a possibility, but it never lasted long. Bring a waterproof jacket for the rain and a lightweight parka for evenings, and you will be fine.

My stay was in one of the casitas on the property. It had large windows facing the mountains, a fully equipped kitchen, shower, and separate sleeping area, all impeccably clean and well-maintained. Bernhard provided delicious food, which I enjoyed preparing for myself. The fruit was particularly amazing as was the bread, and fish and lamb patties. The coca leaves were great too in that they helped me to quickly adjust to the altitude and provided a more balanced morning lift than coffee.

As to ceremony, let’s begin with the guide.  Bernhard is wise and experienced, truly a powerful spirit. Huachuma is as powerful as it is gentle. Truth is what it provides. Go in clean. Make peace with yourself. Then let the medicine show you what you need to see. It was like that for me. I journeyed for four days and looking back the guidance I received was as if it were scripted. I needed day one for day two and day three for day four. I don’t wish to discuss the particulars of what I experienced, my path is not yours and yours is not mine. But what I can say is that it was magical. I healed. I became love and was shown love, I saw my path up to that point and with Bernhard’s help and integration support, I know my way forward.

Whenever I needed guidance, Bernhard was there with his steady presence. But he let me enjoy my process. He pointed me toward core learnings and prevented me from being distracted by stories. This is powerful medicine and Bernhard is a loving, trustworthy soul most worthy of doing the sacred service he provides.
